Motorola Solutions, Inc. (MSI - Free Report) recently secured a new public safety contract in Louisiana to modernize statewide public safety operations. The 10 year contract is valued at $139 million. The agreement covers mobile video, digital evidence management and command center technology, expansion and upgradation of state’s land mobile radio infrastructure.

The contract is also focused on enabling several state agencies  to move to Motorola Solutions’ integrated platform, including body cameras, in-car video and real-time situational awareness software. The company generated $3.13 billion in second-quarter 2026 revenues, up 13% year over year, with Software and Services revenue increasing 10% and Products and Systems Integration revenue rising 15%.The company ended the second quarter with a record $15.6 billion backlog, up 11% year over year.
